Try These Steps Before You Call

Here is a brief list of items you can check before calling a service technician. This can save a trip to your house and a bill.

• Check the settings on your thermostat. Make sure the temperature set point is proper for the mode of operation and the system switch is set for the proper mode: "Heat," "Cool," or "Auto." If the fan will not shut off, make sure the fan switch is set to the "Auto" position.
• If the airflow out of the supply registers seems low, check the air filter.
• Make sure all the registers are open and not obstructed.
• Check the power disconnect and the breaker.
